    Enhance Native Lotus Notes Journaling

    Eugen Tarnow  April 6 2011 06:17:42 AM
Using Lotus Notes native journaling features, a company can save copies of all email that a particular user sends or receives. This feature is particularly useful if an employee is on a legal or other hold, and their correspondences cannot be deleted.

There are some limitations, however. For example, the journaling process paints with a broad brush, saving multiple copies of the same email if simultaneously sent to multiple recipients. There is also no easy built-in means to search the documents in the journal file, which can complicate a potential legal discovery, subpoena, FOIA, or other document search request. An important tool, journaling could be even more effective with an expanded feature-set.

Reducemail Pro Journal from the Reducemail Pro suite (Archive, Delete, Attach, Audit, e-Discovery, Journal) fills in these gaps. It offers complete full-text search capabilities, removes duplicate messages, and more.  It aids response to search requests, saves space, and all-around enhances the native Lotus Notes journaling.

If your company uses journaling, do not be content with only limited features. Native Lotus Notes journaling only does half the job. Reducemail Pro Journal ensures you’ll get the most out of it. It only makes sense to save on fixed costs and be prepared if litigation or any other concern strikes.
